Why Use Us?

nCone Beam Computerized Tomography (CBCT) technology has been introduced in the USA in 2000, and already there are hundreds of machines installed. The rapid adoption of this technology only shows how important and desired the three dimensional imaging of our patient was, and how much more information we able able to collect.
Three dimensional images provide a more accurate representation of our patients, since they are three dimensional entities. A more accurate representation results in more accurate and precise diagnosis, and potentially a more effective treatment.
Different medical and dental specialties have been using the Imaging Center, including anesthesiology, ENT, family dentists, oral surgery, orthodontics, periodontics, plastic surgery, and prosthodontics.
One of the disadvantages of the CBCT technology is the high cost of the machines and the additional costs with training and extra staff members that it may require.
One of the purposes on the Craniofacial Imaging Center is to provide access to this technology, and offer education through CE courses, as well as clinical service by imaging patients referred by craniofacial practitioners.
Once taken, the image is saved to a CD that is sent via mail to the referring doctor. Among other information, the CD contains a Power Point presentation, with the referring doctor's name, so it is clear who is responsible for providing this cutting edge and more complete diagnosis. The Power Point presentation also serves as an easy and ready-to-use tool for the consultation or patient communication (For more on what's in the CD, please click here).
As an educational and research institution, the Imaging Center is always interested in feedback and suggestions, and we will always try to customize the CD and information sent to the referral doctor's preference. In order to achieve this goal, please provides with feedback and tell us what would you like to see.
